Problem & Goal
Aerospace outreach streams need SpaceX / Rocket Lab grade packaging: information pacing, director control and reusable mission templates. The goal: a config-driven overlay system that adapts quickly to any livestream scenario.
Core Features
- Three OBS layers: background, video feed, UI — managed independently (transparent background)
- Mission-based content management: info cards, briefings and headlines saved and reused per broadcast task
- Live director control: Socket.IO bidirectional comms, one-click card switching, auto-rotation and emergency input for briefings and headlines
- Info card system: title, image and custom fields, dual-card crossfade, keyboard shortcuts
- Theming: 7 presets + custom colors and visual effects, one-click switch, brand logo configuration
- Launch-site weather cards: major launch centers worldwide, manual trigger or auto-rotation
Architecture
Flask + SocketIO backend manages state and pushes updates in real time; framework-free HTML/CSS/JS frontend stays stable inside OBS browser sources; mission content persists as JSON and runs fully offline.
Outcomes
- Used in real ASPT aerospace outreach broadcasts
- Powered information packaging and live switching across multiple outreach missions
- 2026-08: launch-site weather cards and caching optimizations shipped; system in active iteration
